November 2017: Open House and Charity Garage Sale to benefit The First Tee of Greater Pasadena. We collected items to sell from chapter members and from the community. Funds raised were donated to The First Tee; unsold items were donated to AMVETS, a Veteran service organization.
December 2017: Donation collection for The Dream Center. At our All Member Meeting we collected body care and hygiene products to donate to the Center.
July 2016-June 2017
August 2016: Book collection for Project Books. We had a book swap at our All Member Meeting and the remaining books were donated to Project Books.
August 2016: Sand Fire Gift Card Fundraiser. We collected gift cards for the Hingston family, who lost their home in the San Fire. They are originally from La Crescenta and have a 7 year old boy.
November 2016: Diaper and Canned Food Drive for the Bailey Human Care Center. We collected diapers and canned foods from members to take to the Center.
December 2016: Elizabeth House Holiday Adopt-a-Family. We adopted five families for the holidays. A $100 gift card and backing mix to make holiday cookies were donated.
February 2017: “Dine Out” at the Habit to benefit the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome (PMS) Foundation. In celebration of Rare Disease Day (February 28) and in honor of a member’s son, who lives with PMS, we arranged a dine out benefit at The Habit, his favorite restaurant.
April 2017: Family Expo. We organized an event for the community, bringing together resources for families throughout the Foothills area. Local vendors and service providers rented tables at the event. A canned food drive benefited the Bailey Human Care Center, a baked sale and raffle benefited the MOMS Club Mother-to-Mother Fund, and a crafts table, kids’ fashion show, and dance and baton-twirling demonstrations entertained all attendees.

December 2013- “Adopt -a-Family” This Holiday season the MOMS Club has chosen to support the Elizabeth House of Pasadena. Their mission is “to provide shelter, hope and support to homeless pregnant women and their children.” This year, we also have the opportunity to attend their Alumni Christmas Party to meet some of the families that have been helped in the past.

November 2011 “12 days of Thanks” — Several moms took turns thanking our local Firefighters and police officers for their hard work and dedication to service our community.
December 2011 “Adopt A Family” – worked with a local YWCA to donate clothes, shoes and gifts for 3 families in need for the Holiday season.
May 2012 “Diaper Drive” – We collected new, opened and unopened packs of diapers of all types and sizes to donate to LA Diaper Drive.
June 2012 “Jack’s Angels” – Had a dining night out fundraiser at a local restaurant to help support a local mom who has a son battling DIPG- a rare brain cancer.

Our children collected used toys and brought them to the Holiday Party. The toys were given to a local shelter.
A silent auction at our Preschool Expo/Open House raised $766.31 to benefit the Mother-to-Mother Fund. Silent auction items were donated by several businesses.
We had a yard sale in the Fall where we sold unwanted items from members. We raised $287.54 which was used to subsidize members for the Founder’s Day Luncheon and the rest to go towards the Mother-to-Mother Fund.
Money raised from a Spring yard sale ($469.50) was split three ways to benefit Glendale Healthy Kids **, Ahead With Horses Charity ** and Path Achieve Homeless Shelter **. Items that did not sell went to Goodwill and Elizabeth House **, a shelter for pregnant homeless women.
MOMS Club has agreed to continue our support of the Hamilton Court Shelter ** for another Holiday Season.
This fall we collected and donated school supplies to the children at the shelter.
In addition; monies collected during our raffles at Member meetings will be donated to the Mother to Mother Fund.
MOMS Club is continuing our support of the Hamilton Court Shelter this Holiday Season.
We donated $200.00 to the MOMS Club Mother to Mother Fund.
MOMS Club Decided to lend our support to the Hamilton Court Shelter for another year. We had a great response to our service project again this year. Thanks so much to everyone who was able to donate gifts. Our raffle at the Holiday Party was a huge success and we collected $194 to buy gifts and necessities. We gave gifts (and hope and love) for 5 families, a total of 5 moms and 7 kids (+ one unborn baby). We were even able to donate several extra gifts for two families who came to the shelter 4 days before Christmas. The gifts included toys, clothes, household items, toiletries, etc.
December 2003 – Our project was Adopt a Family for the holidays , through Hamilton Court ** which is a shelter through YWCA of Glendale for women and their children who are victims of domestic violence. Their program provides immediate shelter to families as well as the chance to start over and live without violence. They offer counseling, housing, educational training, child care, and financial planning services to women and their families. For more info about Hamilton Court visit their website ** or call the hotline 818-242-1106. Our holiday project went very well, with the support of many club members. We were able to donate gifts to 18 moms and children and hope that our gifts helped brighten their holiday. A special thanks to Ralph’s and Vons in Tujunga, for donating grocery gift cards.

October, December & February visits to the Door of Hope were fun. We provided crafts for the kids and donated dinner for the household. In December, we delivered a Pizza Dinner donated to the Door of Hope on behalf of Dominoes Pizza in LaCrescenta. General Meeting Fundraiser Raffles earned $265.
Friends of La Canada Library:
$100 donation To thank the library for allowing us to use their facility for our Holiday party, we made a donation to be used to purchase Childrens Materials for the library. Our club account donated $65, a few members added to this donation a total of $35.
$190 donation This donation purchased a 1 year YMCA membership for TWO children participating in their scholarship program. March Fundraiser Raffle earned $31, April Fundraiser Raffle earned $44, May Fundraiser Raffle earned $51. Our club account donated the $64 needed to sponsor 2 kids.
